Christa Vaughn - Coach

Centennial, Colorado

Hello All!!

Have you ever wondered what summer would be like if there was no summer Swim team? How much quieter your life would be? No yelling by the side of the pool, no fun with sunscreen, and you would be able to avoid that really loud obnoxious swim coach named Christa. I know you all have thought about it, and I know you all came to the conclusion that it would be pretty boring. I am glad we agree, because I think it would be pretty boring myself, summer with no swim team....

Well, with that let me introduce myself. My name is Christa Vaughn; I am 23 years old, and a recent College graduate from Western State College of Colorado. (Western is located in the south west 'coldest' part of the state.) I majored Communication and Psychology. So after graduation I moved to San Francisco to join the 'real world' and worked for an Entertainment Agency. I quickly decided that it wasn't a job for me, two months later I turned around and moved back to Colorado. The real reason why was because the people were not as cool as my team parents, and there weren't any awesome kids that I could coach. But seriously, you think I could spend a summer away from Summer Swim team? I just can't get away from it. So now, this will officially make 18 years with the Holly Park Sharks!!!

So a little about me; I am a born and raised Coloradoan, and grew up right here in Palos Verdes. I have been swimming my whole life, as well as skiing. I enjoy being outdoors, and playing under the sun! My favorite stroke growing up was breaststroke, but it took a drastic turn when I swam Freestyle instead of Breaststroke in one of my races, so I switched to Backstroke (something totally different). I also love to swim the IM, and I love to give it as a work out, so watch out!!!

I have dreams of being a Motivational speaker and motivating the younger population of today's society. I have tons of energy, and I only have hopes of spreading it! But I also work well when people around me have lots of energy!!!! I am always open to new ideas and to communication. I have no doubts of this season, and I plan on it being just amazing and awesome as my past 18 years with this team! Let keep up the good work!

Christa

*smiles* :):):) Just keep swimming...lalallala.....

Nichole Stults - Assistant Coach

My name is Nichole Stults

My name is Nichole Stults. I am a native Coloradan and a student at the University of Colorado working on a double major in environmental biology and studio arts with a focus on photography. I currently play a lot of ultimate frisbee and am on a recreational team. I stumbled into swimming my sophomore year of high school and instantly fell in love with it. I swam for Heritage High School for three years and the Franklin Fish last summer. My favorite stroke has always been butterfly. For this season, I would like to work on having all event swims along with just some team unity and loads of fun!
